Wood Waste Disposal Site

The Mid-Michigan Recycling Center collects wood waste from Livonia residents free of charge. The facility is located next to the Refuse Disposal Site at 32700 Glendale Street.

Users of the wood recycling yard should not exit their vehicles.  Employees of the yard will visit the cars to get the information they need.

Fall / Winter Hours

The last Saturday of October through the last Saturday of April

  • Monday through Friday
    7 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.

SPRING / SUMMER HOURS

The first Saturday of May through the third Saturday of October

  • Monday through Friday
    7 a.m. to 4:45 p.m.
  • Second and fourth Saturday of the month May 7-Oct. 29
    9 a.m. to 1:45 p.m.


The Mid-Michigan Recycling center accepts wood for the disposal that is not handled by curbside or brush and branch services.

  • Branches, brush, logs, and stumps
  • Gaylord boxes
  • Metal fasteners, screws or nails less than 5/8 inches in diameter used in the construction of wood pallets, containers or boxes
  • Overseas heat-treated pallets, containers, boxes and or other engineered/manufactured wood materials containing glues and resins
  • Pallet, plywood, laminated wood, and other clean wood waste debris
  • Wood chips and lumber cut-offs

Fees

Residents with a Livonia driver’s license and proof of residency driving a personally owned vehicle can dump items for free. Please note the waived fees are for items from households and residential yards only. Businesses whose owners live in Livonia are subject to the regular fees.

Pallets .75 (for 3 feet by 3 feet or 4 feet by 4 feet)
Stumps $20 per cubic yard

A cubic yard is determined by measuring then multiplying the length, width, and height of the pile then dividing by 27.

Responsibilities

Mid Michigan Recycling and the City of Livonia are not responsible for any damage to your vehicle during loading, unloading, and pull-offs.

Cash, check, Master Card and Visa are accepted. Charge accounts are available upon approval.
