Haunt Your Home Decorating Contest Seeking Spookiest Halloween Decor

Mayor Maureen Miller Brosnan recently announced a new Halloween tradition to Livonia! Get ready for HAUNT YOUR HOME! Think you have the scariest Halloween decorations in Livonia? Do trick or treaters flock to your spooky house? Here's your chance to prove you have the most frightful home in Livonia! Registration is open to all residences! Register by Monday, Oct. 17.

Mayor Brosnan will pick three residences and a special spookiest home award with the best Halloween decorations. Mayor Brosnan and the Ghostbusters will visit the winners to deliver the awards on Tuesday, Oct. 25, in the evening. Get your fright on, Livonia, and HAUNT YOUR HOME!

After spending much of the past year listening to our patrons, a draft of the Greenmead Historical Park Master Plan is ready for review. Check it out at Greenmead.us to see what direction patrons would like the park to head in the future and stop by the Council Committee public hearing meeting to voice your thoughts 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 19, on the second floor of City Hall.

Facility Manager Retiring After 20 Years at The Rec

Come help us bid farewell to long-time Kirksey Recreation Center Facility Manager Tom Murphy from 2-4 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 18, in The Rec’s Multi-Purpose Room (second floor).

City staff, rec center members and former members who know Tom and would like to wish him well are invited to stop by to see him as he wraps up the final week of a 20-year career at The Rec and heads into his next adventure of retirement.
