History Lecture Series

Hamtramck Then and Now

What was it like to live in Hamtramck in 1890? 1922? 1959? Join us as we welcome Greg Kowalski of the Hamtramck Historical Museum 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan 7, and take an in-depth look into lifestyles of these periods. We will learn how life back then was substantially different than life today. Also, we will see how Hamtramck transformed from a farming village to an industrial city in the space of 10 years and became the fastest growing town in the nation in 1915. This free program will take place at the Alexander Blue, no registration required.

Sponsored by the Livonia Historical Commission.
