Crafts Around the World

Travel without leaving Livonia 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, April 17, at the Friends Meeting House in Greenmead Historical Park! In just one night, participants will "travel" to multiple countries, discovering unique artistic traditions from around the globe. Through engaging craft projects like Australian dot painting, German potato printing, and more, youth will learn about different cultures, histories, and creative techniques. This interactive workshop fosters creativity, cultural appreciation, and a sense of global connection one craft at a time!

Kids running around during an egg hunt

Egg Hunt

The annual Livonia Parks and Recreation Egg Hunt is back 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, April 19! The Egg Hunt now requires advance registration due to capacity restrictions, but it is still free.

It will take place in the ball diamonds of Rotary Park and will be separated by age groups (ages 1-4, 5-7, and 8-10). Participants will be sent into the outfields of the ball diamonds and will be able to return the eggs for a bag of candy. This event often sells out, so sign up your child today!

Please bring a basket or bag to put eggs in and a camera to take pictures with the bunny! The Egg Hunt is co-sponsored by the Livonia Rotary Club and Livonia Parks and Recreation

Livonia Senior Wellness Center being constructed

#RecreatingTheRec

As the exterior walls for both the new Livonia Senior Wellness Center and new West Gym stand tall, construction crews are working on some interior elements while fending off the cold weather. New roofs and doorways have been appearing. Interior renderings are available at LivoniaBuilt.org.

The Main Gyms will close in 2025 once the new West Gym is complete. The full project is expected to be completed in December 2025. You can visit LivoniaBuilt.org to see the specific timeline for each phase. For more details, check out our Frequently Asked Questions.

Stay up to date on construction at the Kirksey Recreation Center and Livonia Senior Wellness Center at LivoniaBuilt.org. You've already subscribed to this e-newsletter, so make sure to follow us on Facebook, Instagram and bookmark the website for all the latest details.
