Stuff-a-Pet Party: Adoption!Give a homeless Stuff-A-Pet a new home 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 2! Adopt a leftover stuffie from previous events. No class to attend, just register for the one you want and pick it up during the scheduled time. There will also be tables available if you would like help stuffing it here before you take it home. Glow SwimGlow Swim is BACK this year! Join us 4:30-6:30 Sunday, Jan. 4, at The Rec! Come swim in the lit-up pool and play games with us! The pool will be closed exclusively for those registered for this light-up event! Guardians must accompany children 12 years and younger. Guardians must be within arm’s reach of non-swimmers. All Guardians should come prepared to swim. Parents/Guardians do not need to buy a ticket. Register today through our online catalog.

Holiday HoursCity of Livonia offices, the 16th District Court, Livonia Public Library, Greenmead Historical Park, and the Livonia Senior Wellness Center will be closed on Wednesday, Dec. 24, in observance of Christmas Eve. The Kirksey Recreation Center will be open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. All listed facilities, including the Kirksey Recreation Center, will be closed on Thursday, Dec. 25, in observance of Christmas Day. Trash will be collected on Christmas Eve, but there will be no collection on Christmas Day. Service will be delayed by one day for the remainder of the holiday week, so please place your trash out the day after your regularly scheduled pickup. The same schedule will be in effect for New Year’s week: City of Livonia offices, the 16th District Court, Livonia Public Library, Greenmead Historical Park, and the Livonia Senior Wellness Center will be closed on Wednesday and Thursday, Dec. 31 and Jan. 1, for New Year’s Eve and New Year's Day respecitvely, with the Kirksey Recreation Center open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., and trash service will be delayed one day for the remainder of that week as well.
