Livonia Spree Fireworks and Road Closures

Don’t forget the Livonia Spree Grand Finale Fireworks take place at approximately 10:15 p.m. Sunday, June 29! If you can't make it to the fireworks show, watch it live on Livonia Community's Facebook!

When selecting the perfect spot for fireworks viewing, please refrain from sitting on the memorial wall at Veteran’s Memorial Park out of respect for our veterans. Thank you.

Additionally, drivers can expect road closures to begin around 7 p.m. on Farmington Road between Schoolcraft and Five Mile Roads, and Schoolcraft and Stark Roads, due to Spree fireworks.

The Spree Shuttle Service will be in full operation until after the fireworks to transport visitors between the Spree grounds and the parking facilities at Livonia City Hall.

Rec Center Readers Book Club: 'The Fourth Hand'

Join the official book club at The Rec 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, to discuss June's book! We'll be discussing "The Fourth Hand" by John Irving. This book is available through the Livonia Public Library.

The Fourth Hand by John Irving follows Patrick Wallingford, a television journalist who loses his left hand while reporting in India. His life changes when a woman offers her recently deceased husband's hand for a transplant—with the unusual condition that she can visit it. As Patrick navigates his career, new identity, and an unexpected emotional connection, the novel explores themes of loss, love, and transformation with Irving’s signature blend of wit and poignancy.
