Friends of Greenmead

The Friends for the Development of Greenmead was established in 1978 as a non-profit organization. It was created to raise funds for the development and restoration of Greenmead Historical Park. 

Most recently, the Friends donated $50,000 towards the restoration of the Greenhouse and $7,000 towards the restoration of the Newburg Church’s east stained glass windows.

LIVONIA’S 33rd ANNUAL GARDEN WALK

Start your summer with a walk through five lovely Livonia gardens! 

Join us on Saturday, June 24, 2023 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. to tour five private gardens located throughout the City and the Simmons-Hill House gardens. 

Advanced ticket sales begin in May online or in person at the Greenmead Office or the Civic Center Library for $9.

Tickets may also be purchased the day of for $10 at the Robert and Janet Bennett Civic Center Library, 32777 Five Mile Road from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and the Simmons-Hill House at Greenmead, 20501 Newburgh Road from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Please be prepared to pay with cash or check only. 

Please check-in at the Simmons-Hill House at Greenmead from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. or the Bennett Civic Center Library from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. to receive your booklet on the day of the walk.
