Who is Delia?

Delia Jane Cranson was born August 23,1835 to parents Samuel and Persis Cranson. She was one of 6 children. Samuel purchased land on the Redford/Livonia Township border in 1833, in the names of his first three children. The Cranson’s built the home that is now at Greenmead, formerly known as the Hinbern Gift Shop, in phases with the rear built prior to 1850 (most likely in the 1830s), and the front added on later with a remodel around the turn of the century. Delia Jane lived in this home until her death on November 1, 1870. She is buried in the family plot at Clarenceville Cemetery
