Personal Training Defined
Personal training involves one-on-one training sessions designed for you to help achieve your fitness goals. Your personal trainer will work with you to develop a complete exercise and nutritional program. Your trainer is there to provide education and motivation! The number of sessions will vary from person to person. The number of personal training sessions is dependent on the needs and fitness goals of each individual.
Generally, six to eight sessions are needed to get started. If you currently have a program, two to four sessions can give you new ideas to incorporate into your current training program.

What to Expect
The first training session will typically be the most important session. Your health history will be gathered and your trainer will be eager to learn what your health and fitness goals are. It is recommended that a fitness assessment is established so that your trainer can find out what your current fitness level is. This will result in a more thorough and customized program. The fitness assessment consists of body fat composition, muscular strength, muscular endurance, flexibility and cardio endurance.
After the first session, your trainer will work with you on strength, cardio and nutrition. As you become leaner and stronger, your trainer will alter your program to continue your progress.
