  1. Santa's Mailbox Deadline

    Jack E. Kirksey Recreation Center

    Santa's Mailbox is back at the Kirksey Recreation Center again this holiday season! Drop off a letter in the magical mailbox from Monday, Nov. 7, until Friday, Dec. 2, and we'll make sure it gets delivered in time for a response before Christmas! There is no cost to mail Santa these letters, but make sure the child's name and address are on the letter to Santa so he can get a response to the correct location.

  2. Night of Lights

    December 2, 2022, 5:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.

    Greenmead Historical Park

    Visit Greenmead under the glow of lights! Kids will enjoy a visit with Santa at the Meeting House and crafts at the School House. Stop in the church to listen to a free concert, shop at the Town Peddler Holiday Gift Shop in the Alexander Blue House, and warm up in the hospitality tent, where snacks and non-alcoholic drinks will be available for purchase. Night of Lights is presented by Masco.

  3. Merry & Bright Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting

    December 4, 2022, 4:00 p.m.
    City Hall

    There may not be snow yet, but we’re already at work preparing for the Merry & Bright Holiday Parade and Tree Lighting 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4. Join a few thousand community members along the parade route from Frost Middle School to Livonia City Hall, where our guests of honor from the North Pole will help Mayor Maureen Miller Brosnan with the annual tree lighting from the southern steps of City Hall. Once the lights are on, head over to the Bennett Civic Center Library to visit with Santa Claus and Mrs. Claus, do some crafts and hear some music. We are looking for additional local groups - civic, school, scouts, etc. - to join the parade on a route from Frost Middle School to Livonia City Hall.   4. Livonia Parkinson Support Group

    Civic Park Senior Center

    The Livonia Parkinson Support Group, a part of the Michigan Parkinson Foundation, has been meeting at the Senior Center since the 1980's. Since then, our group has grown to over 200 people! We provide many free services to aid people with Parkinsons, as well as their caregivers. If you are in need of support or services, please join us for one of our free Support Group Meetings Our group meets the second Thursday at 6:30 p.m. most months (no meetings in January, July, or August).

  9. Light Up Livonia Deadline

    December 13, 2022, 5:00 p.m.

    Do you think you have one of the best December light displays for the holidays? Let the rest of Livonia know! Register between Nov. 29-Dec. 13 to showcase your display. Mayor Maureen Miller Brosnan will pick three residences, a Clark Griswold award winner and one business with the best holiday decorations. She and Santa Claus will visit the winners to deliver the awards on Tuesday, Dec. 20. Register online and indicate if you would like to be part of the Light Up Livonia Holiday Lights Map, which will be posted online at for people to tour the lights.
