Another special function of the Livonia Parks and Recreation Department is to provide recreational opportunities through club activities. With this philosophy in mind, the following is a list of clubs, some of which are co-sponsored by the Department. Friends of the Wilson Barn help preserve Livonia's Historical Dairy Farm. The Barn is the site for:

Open to ham radio operators and those interested in the hobby. We are licensed by the FCC for the purpose of communicating to other amateur radio operators around town, around the world, and into space, using voice, digital and Morse Code. The Livonia Civic Chorus meets weekly from September through May, to share fellowship and the love of singing. New members of all vocal ranges are always welcome. The ability to read music is not necessary.
Performances
The chorus performs two major shows each year in December and May, and throughout our community during the year. Rehearsals are Tuesday evenings at 7:30 p.m. at:

The purpose of this league is to provide youths ages 8 to 14, who reside in Livonia or Clarenceville School Districts, an opportunity to play organized baseball, basketball, and football. Emphasis is placed on promoting sportsmanship, citizenship, and the physical development of all youths. Open to all skill levels. Come socialize, carve, learn techniques or participate in the woodcarver's show in August. Club meets every Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m. and Thursday 9 a.m. to Noon at the Civic Park Senior Center located at Five Mile and Farmington. For information call (734) 425-9349.
Livonia Youth Choir is a civic tuition-based youth choir for children ages 9 to 13. They meet weekly September through May on Monday evenings. For information call (734) 237-8954 or email the Livonia Youth Choir.
Schedule your Audition today! All musicians, playing from 6 months to 16 years, come and join one of our concert groups. With ensembles for novice, intermediate and advanced musicians, winds and strings, we have the right group for you! We also have a flute choir, brass ensemble, a saxophone choir and chamber groups. We are one of Michigan's longest established youth orchestras.

The Livonia Save Our Youth Task Force is a grassroots effort to educate and empower the community in an effort to address the issues that affect the health and safety of your young people with a focus on alcohol and other drugs.
